Why does motivation change some people permanently and others only temporarily?

Motivation is only Temporary….it is like eating, once you’ve eaten a great meal…you feel like you can never eat another bite, you are so stuffed you are feeling miserable and you promise yourself that you will never do that again…then about 3-4 or 5 hours later you find yourself hungry again. This is a guarantee…Our bodies need fuel to survive.

Just the same as our Motivations and our Hopes they need to be watered daily if not some days minute by minute.

Why is it that many people start on a project, and begin to see how it can benefit their lives, they get all excited because they are beginning to achieving some great results, ONLY…. after a period of time they begin to revert back to their old “Settling” lifestyle…Reverting back to their old way of thinking and soon to their old way of living.

We hear a great idea, read a great quote, and watch a great and inspiring video and we say “I can do that”….. So then the adventure begins. Then out of the blue we are caught unaware and we encounter a negative situation…

Whether its…

• There’s so much to learn,,,
• We don’t have the time…
• People don’t believe in us…
• Its taking to long…
• What ever the excuse…we lose our enthusiasm and passion and we are back to square one.

Passion is described in the Dictionary as “a strong emotion, an ardent love, zeal, an eager desire.”

Men and women that have reached the mountaintops of their success, have a passion for life and are willing to give it their all and be the best that they can be. They are willing to pay the price in their own character, values and outlook to achieve the results that they know are theirs for the taking.

As we become adults our DREAMS vanish…The reality of LIFE takes over and one day we can look up and 10 years have gone by. And then we realize that we are still in the Same Job doing the Same Thing with no where to go from here.

Well I say…Lets start a REVOLUTION …..Within our mind and our lives….. Let’s begin to give ourselves the time and permission to DREAM again. Begin to ask yourselves some of the questions above.

• Open the Dam and let all the Dreams and Hopes…. that have buried deep within you, begin to come alive again.

As life moves on and we get into our routines, getting up at the same time, eating the same types of foods, driving the same route everyday, doing the same work day in and day out.

The biggest challenge and struggle that we all have to deal with is Complacency. We get comfortable in our daily routines… The routines that get us to work on time, the routines that get the kids off to school, just the daily things that we do without even thinking about it.

As time continues on we develop a RUT, the more we walk the same path the Rut gets deeper and deeper till one day we realize that we can not see anything around us… because we are so deep into our own RUT.

Break FREE today….Break free from the Subtleness of Complacency.

Let your mind DREAM, stare out that window, listen to the birds sing, sit in a quiet place even for just a moment and let the possibilities flow.

You will become a better person, with an excitement for life again, and an awe and wonder of the possibilities that are before you.

Life will take a turn for the better….Starting with your DREAMS

leadership traits

As we are developing into Tomorrows Leaders, into the leaders that our teams need as well as our families, I would like us to look at a couple of Leadership Traits that I believe are necessary as we move forward in that direction.

First let me say that many people claim to be leaders, many claim that they have all the leadership traits and qualities that are needed and that they should be the one being followed….but the truth is…no one is following them.

One of the greatest victories that any leader can accomplish is victory over self. This is an everyday occurrence and a battle that is won in the minutes and hours of the day….not just in the great decisions that need to be made.

Every day we need to be working on our selves and battle the temptation to think of ourselves more highly than we are. Learning the lessons on leadership is not always easy. Most of the time the lessons that we are trying to instill into others are the same lessons that we had to learn the hard way. But I would say that this makes us more approachable and sensitive to the issues that others are facing.

Plato said it best when he said, “The first and best victory is to conquer self.”  Ralph Stayer, president of Johnsonville Foods, wrote: “In most situations, I am the problem. My mentalities, my pictures, my expectations form the biggest obstacles to my success.”

Many times our enemy lies within. Who we are determines how we see others. If we can get our act together then we will be in a position to help others.

An interesting thought is…we don’t see others as they are we see them as we are…if I am an untrusting person…then I will see you as untrusting. If I am a negative person tending to look at the negative instead of the positive, then I see you as a negative person…(and two negatives repel each other).

As a leader if I can fix myself first, if I can get victory for Donna Rios then the odds are higher that I will be able to help fix others also.

If I can’t fix myself, the odds are high I will never be able to add value to and help others. So developing ourselves, doing the soul searching, and looking in the mirror will always help us be better people and leaders for the ones doing the following.

People who are unaware of who they are and what they do and how they respond often damage relationships with others.

People in leadership have a tendency to examine someone else and ask the question…what is wrong with that person? Why aren’t they jumping on board? Why can’t they see the bigger picture? Why are they always complaining? This is the way most leaders react because it is easy to teach Leadership skills but it is much Harder to Model Leadership Qualities…..

Our actions and words will eventually point us toward having a reputation for having integrity or not. As business people…desiring to make a difference…desiring to leave our mark, our position requires us to be more alert, more careful and more empathetic than ever before.

People are looking for a leader. Will you be able to rise to the challenge? Will you put the time in to develop yourself into the best person that you can be?

One of the most effective link building strategies out there today is Article Marketing. Article Marketing can build your page rank faster and easier than ever thought possible. In almost all Article Directory sites they have a place for you to enter your personal info, this is called a Author Resource box. If you are submitting your article to a article directory, in the resource box you can include up to two links. One can be used for linking back to your site as the other to advertise a product or service that you are involved in. Let’s think about this for a moment…If you submit just one article to 100 article directories and it is approved for publication, you will immediately receive 100 back links to your website. Which in turn will build your traffic ranking.

One of the best elements about this… is the fact that most article directories themselves have a high page ranking. Having a link to your own website from a website which has a high page rank will give your site a significant boost to your search engine standing!

Let’s look at a couple of thoughts about Article Marketing Submission:

• Should I submit past and present article that are posted on my blog or website??

Yes you should….Your web site or blog will be considered the original source of the article and so all the article directories will be linking back to that source. I would not post my articles to directories first because when the search engines index the sites they will see that your site is not the original source.

• Will my articles be considered duplicates if I submit them to multiple sites??

No…The search engines will assume that the submitted content is your original work. Most article directory editors are pretty confident about the articles they display. The only time that you will run into problems with duplicate content is if you are purchasing article that someone else has written and they are selling that article to hundreds of people.

• Should I submit as many articles as possible to numerous sites??

Of course…When one of my articles is ready for syndication, I submit it to about 300 sites. This is a great way to build your page ranking and your link popularity. Something to keep in mind though…search engines can become a little hesitant about any newer site generating a large number of link backs in a single day. So to be on the safer side I would submit my articles over a period of time.

• How do I find Directories to submit too??

One of the easiest ways is to go to Google and type in “Article Directories.” There are tons out there so I would submit to the most popular sites to begin with. Or you can also check out Article Submissions Software that with just a few clicks of a button you can automatically submit your article to 100’s of sites in no time. Just remember that submitting article does take work and consistency to get you the results that you are looking for.

But on the other hand it is one of the fastest and cheapest (FREE) ways to develop your page ranking and allow you to launch into the world of online marketing.
