One of the most effective link building strategies out there today is Article Marketing. Article Marketing can build your page rank faster and easier than ever thought possible. In almost all Article Directory sites they have a place for you to enter your personal info, this is called a Author Resource box. If you are submitting your article to a article directory, in the resource box you can include up to two links. One can be used for linking back to your site as the other to advertise a product or service that you are involved in. Let’s think about this for a moment…If you submit just one article to 100 article directories and it is approved for publication, you will immediately receive 100 back links to your website. Which in turn will build your traffic ranking.

One of the best elements about this… is the fact that most article directories themselves have a high page ranking. Having a link to your own website from a website which has a high page rank will give your site a significant boost to your search engine standing!

Let’s look at a couple of thoughts about Article Marketing Submission:

• Should I submit past and present article that are posted on my blog or website??

Yes you should….Your web site or blog will be considered the original source of the article and so all the article directories will be linking back to that source. I would not post my articles to directories first because when the search engines index the sites they will see that your site is not the original source.

• Will my articles be considered duplicates if I submit them to multiple sites??

No…The search engines will assume that the submitted content is your original work. Most article directory editors are pretty confident about the articles they display. The only time that you will run into problems with duplicate content is if you are purchasing article that someone else has written and they are selling that article to hundreds of people.

• Should I submit as many articles as possible to numerous sites??

Of course…When one of my articles is ready for syndication, I submit it to about 300 sites. This is a great way to build your page ranking and your link popularity. Something to keep in mind though…search engines can become a little hesitant about any newer site generating a large number of link backs in a single day. So to be on the safer side I would submit my articles over a period of time.

• How do I find Directories to submit too??

One of the easiest ways is to go to Google and type in “Article Directories.” There are tons out there so I would submit to the most popular sites to begin with. Or you can also check out Article Submissions Software that with just a few clicks of a button you can automatically submit your article to 100’s of sites in no time. Just remember that submitting article does take work and consistency to get you the results that you are looking for.

But on the other hand it is one of the fastest and cheapest (FREE) ways to develop your page ranking and allow you to launch into the world of online marketing.

While Article Marketing is one of the most genuine ways to get back links and traffic to our blogs. We are taught that all you need to do is write one genuine article on an ezine directory and watch it get copied all over the internet, thus getting you the back links your hoping to acquire. This is not always the truth.

Article Marketing can be a form of free advertising for your business. But there are definitely some genuine guidelines that you need to follow to get the results that you are looking for.

Article Marketing does take some planning and time to develop the skill of a great writer, while on the other hand you only develop the skill of writing by writing. But one of the biggest catches that I have found, is that your 1^st and foremost objective…. has to be To Add Continual Value To Other People And Help Them Achieve Their Goals.

So let’s look at some of the technical aspects of writing an article:

• Determine your topic….What are you going to write about. It does not matter so much if you feel that others have already written an article on the same subject. You hold a unique perspective, so your view will be one of a kind.

• Who are you writing to…What questions are your readers asking…What are they wanting to know about…Now begin to answer their questions. Give them the value that they are looking for. Don’t skimp on this point, you can never give away more than you will receive later.

• Do your research…Know your topic. Pick a couple of points and write about them. You can always write another article later as a follow up. Break your article up into small digestible chunks.

• The Length of your article does matter. If you are just posting a couple of points on your blog and you are not worried about ranking, then post the points. But if you are writing an article to get syndicated and linked back to your blog then it will have to be between 300-500 words.

• Write a ruff draft of your article. Ask yourself these questions as you are reading….

1. Does your introduction tell the readers what they are going to read, learn and experience?
2. Did you answer the questions…Who, What, When, Where, and Why. You might not answer all these questions in the same article but they will help keep you on track and focused.

• Re-Write and Re-Read your article before you publish it. This is where you will find many grammatical errors as well as typing errors. Your readers will pick up on this quickly…you want to present your article as professional as possible.

• Submit your finished article to as many Free Article Marketing Sites that you can. This can take some time but will pay off greatly in the end. You can register for as many as you like, always remembering that the more your article is out there the more links and traffic it will create back to your site.

Article Marketing can at first be time consuming. But as with anything worthwhile it is worth the time you will spend on developing your talent. So does Article Marketing fail to deliver…I can only say that it won’t deliver if you do not put the time and effort into developing your skill. So begin writing….. Only time will tell…but one thing is for sure… if you never try…. you might look back one day and wish that you had.
